The Clinical Value Analysis Manager for Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH) reports to the System Director of Clinical Value Analysis and is responsible for facilitating the system wide value analysis process with the goal of providing high quality, safe, patient-centered and cost effective products, services and technology. This process requires the establishment and adherence to a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring products, services and technology selection, utilization and costs.
The Clinical Value Analysis Manager for BSWH will provide clinical and strategic expertise that facilitates supply expense management while continuously improving quality, safety and satisfaction, through clinical engagement. The Clinical Value Analysis Manager will serve as a facilitator and educator the Value Analysis process. This individual works strategically and tactically to identify, analyze, decide and implement best practices and expense management initiatives as it relates to Medical Surgical, Pediatrics/NICU, ICU, Critical Care, Infection Prevention and Lab Products.
Our Clinical Value Analysis Manager will commonly use and familiarity with computers, calculators, fax machines, telephone and other standard office equipment is required. As determined by the System Director of Clinical Value Analysis, become a proficient operator in all assigned software systems including but not limited to:
Microsoft Office Suite and components
Clinical Research sites
As the Clinical Value Analysis Manager for BSWH must have clinical knowledge, financial concepts and strong business acumen in a large complex healthcare system. Developed problem solving skills, proven experience in leading teams, managing process change and collaborating across multiple facilities and disciplines. Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
In addition, the Clinical Value Analysis Manager for BSWH has the following responsibilities:
Experience in Supply Chain Management
Facilitates BSWH Value Analysis service line teams and subcommittees to include clinical and financial strategies and execution which include agenda's, slide decks, meeting minutes and Clinician and Physician engagement.
Provide clinical research and consult with the Strategic Sourcing Administrators in the development & execution of service line sourcing strategies.
Identify, document and communicate potential clinical concerns, challenges or issues in order for Supply Chain Services to be thoroughly prepared for the execution of the sourcing strategy.
Develop, design and execution of product evaluations including survey instruments, manage result compilation and coordinate final results presentation between the Strategic Financial Analyst (SFA) and the Strategic Sourcing Administrator.
Provide contract implementation assistance through the development communication flyers, posters, and vendor fairs and other communication tools that will assist Supply Chain Operations successfully implement new contracts.
Attend and provide assistance to specific committees and councils as requested by, and directed by, strategic sourcing administrators or SC directors.
Review product usage reports to identify opportunities for standardization, SKU reduction and contract compliance.
Review all item add requests to the Supply Chain ERP system ensuring that the request is in compliance with current standards and contracts and is an FDA approved product suitable for use by BSWH.
Stay abreast of latest clinical developments and advancements in order to advise Supply Chain leadership of new trends and technologies that may affect Supply Chain initiatives.
Research and advice on possible product substitutions in the event of a prolonged product backorder or product recall. SC Operations and contract administrators will finalize the product substitute in cooperation with designated clinical departments.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationship, with internal and external customers. Must be an effective problem solver, team player and possess strong organizational skills.
