Responsible for managing and auditing of IMMS/Surginet/Cerner interface of Perioperative programs. Meets personal accountabilities as defined in the Tenet Target 100 Standards of Conduct, as well as Service, People, Quality, Growth, and Cost. Assists in training Perioperative staff in electronic processes, including intraoperative documentation, ordering Labs, etc., charging, preference card editing and updates. Ensures clinical documentation is finalized, charges verified, change requests submitted and communicated to appropriate Cerner personnel for follow through. Coordinates use of lasers in Operating Room. Ensures compliance with laser safety standards as designated in ANSI Z136.3.
Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Two years' recent acute care RN perioperative experience. Previous experience in management of electronic Perioperative Services' programs and interfaces. Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Must be independent in role, and autonomous in daily tasks; minimal supervision provided. Requires advanced skills in word processing with the ability to establish and organize tables and Excel documents, have advanced knowledge of Cerner, be skilled in data analytics, and PowerPoint. Requires accurate use and reconciliation of Perioperative software systems and proprietary financial programs. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position; the incumbent is accountable for reviewing the job description and updating as necessary.
Prior clinical experience with medical lasers.
Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of Florida, AHA BLS certification
