The Interoperability Architect possesses expert level knowledge in all areas of operational and system support in completing advanced-level troubleshooting and problem-solving activities. They act independently to architect, build, test, validate, and document Interoperability solutions in response to change requests and new initiatives. They proactively drive collaboration across MemorialCare to ensure Interoperability solutions are designed for maximum efficiency and value add, per defined policies, as well as industry best practices. They independently respond to and troubleshoot a wide variety of complex issues, break/fixes and service requests from both internal and external team members and providers. They mentor peers and provide educational/informational sessions to significantly impact workflows, troubleshooting or system design pertaining to the overall team as well as internal implementation processes.
Minimum 7 years healthcare experience in technical or integration operations role or similar experience
Proven expert knowledge of integration engine coding and file manipulation as well as considerable knowledge in vendor and data consumer processes
Demonstrated proficiency in EDI file structures and processes (835, 837, 277,999, AIR98, FTP.)
Demonstrated progressive project management experience leading projects requiring an end-to-end Interoperability workflow perspective, effectively managing more than one project, and working independently as well as in a team situation meeting aggressive deadlines
Demonstrated use of relevant “out of the box thinking” in conjunction with organization wide standardization.
Proven ability in workflow, data analysis, and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, quantitative methods, planning and gap analysis.
Experienced working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and managing multiple priorities
Demonstrated use of effective communication, including excellent written and verbal skills, and interpersonal relations to achieve established goals. Positive attitude with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic environment and use skills to the best of one’s ability in public speaking presentations with senior leadership.
Proven track record working with the HL7 file standard, various data exchange systems, and the ability to successfully integrate third party systems and applications.
Past success leading meetings between business stakeholders, technical resources, and third parties for business requirements and technical solutions.
Demonstrated knowledge of the CCR, CCD and C-CDA standards and experience with .NET considered a plus
Experienced working with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, and interacting with all levels of the organization
Proven analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
History of strong self-motivation, team work, and collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required
Licensed healthcare professional desirable
Certification in Epic Bridges required, additional Epic certifications in relevant Epic modules preferred
