You Will Be Responsible For:
Responsible for developing, organizing and controlling activities in environmental services department.
Responsible for overseeing the development of a department orientation program for all new employees to ensure new employees know the guidelines of their job and what is expected of them. Assure that new employees receive this department orientation within six weeks.
Cooperates with other department managers in accomplishing department and Texas Health Huguley objectives.
Review work schedule with environmental services management team to assure adequate coverage for quality performance.
Institutes changes in techniques or guidelines for more efficient operation.
Demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, family members, visitors and hospital employees, as defined in the philosophy of Huguley Hospital.Maintains a high morale among department employees by displaying genuine interest in each individual.Show no favoritism or special or unfair favoritism or special or unfair favors.Displays even temper and is well mannered.Loyal to, and cooperate with other department management in accomplishing department and hospital objectivities.

Performs management functions.
Ensures that department expenditures remain within approved operating budget and reports variances and plan of action on a monthly basis to appropriate personnel.
Daily reviews labor management reports and adjusts staffing as needed, in a timely manner for acuity and safety.
Ensures that department consistently works toward a 100% compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Effectively manages the Human Resource function of the department.
Consistently collaborates with Human Resources on employee relations issues.
What You Will Need:
Four year college degree.
Three years in Environmental Services (housekeeping) field with a minimum of one year in a managerial position.
Establishes departmental regulations and procedures in conformance with administrative policies and develops standard for environmental services department in conformance with, but not limited to: Tarrant County, The Joint Commission, the State of Texas, OSHA, and the U.S. Department of Transportation.Responsible for maintaining interdepartmental and external relations.Assist supervisors in final selection of applicants for employment.
