You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth’s core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork.
Partners with site managers to expedite outstanding accounts in A/R through clean claims submission and prompt/systematic follow up with payers.
Coordinates with insurance payers to ensure proper reimbursement on patient accounts. Participates in conference calls, reviews account receivable reports, and/or creates reports to compile issues in order to expedite resolution of accounts.
Responsible for examining and interpreting contracts to ensure patient accounts are properly reimbursed. Trends and reports any issues to leadership as requested.
Reviews quality assurance reports with appropriate Leadership and staff. Creates, prepares and updates various weekly and monthly reports as assigned by Management within specified time frame. Analyzes and reviews statistical reports when requested by Leadership.
Responsible for patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores and meeting goals set by AdventHealth and PA/PFS department. Promotes an atmosphere of open communication for staff at all times. Assists customer service with patient concerns/questions to ensure prompt and accurate resolution is achieved.
What You Will Need:
Three (3) years of experience in Patient Access/Patient Financial Services department or related area (registration, finance, collections, customer service, medical office, contract management)
Two (2) years of management experience
Ability to manage assignments with minimal supervision
Ability to recognize potential problems and provide innovative solutions
Ability to process and manage confidential information
Ability to be responsive to ever changing matrix of hospital needs and act accordingly
Knowledge of Radiology terminology and ability to maintain a working knowledge of current topics and trends in Radiology
Minimum (2) year college degree (Business, Healthcare or Health Services Administration, Health Information Management, Communications, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Human Resources, Management, or Marketing) with (2) or more years in Patient Access/Patient Financial Services department or related area as defined above
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification
The Billing Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the billing department, establishes and implements both short- and long-term plans, establishes and monitors metrics and standards, and evaluates processes with the intent of improving productivity, quality and compliance. Manages the billing department staff, analyzes, tracks, and trends aging reports, and produces reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as needed. Additionally, the Billing Manager researches, reports, and seeks to reduce/eliminate billing related denials and payment issues. Implements billing policies & procedures and ensures compliance with CMS and other payer guidelines. Responsible for insurance and credentialing for all facilities and works closely with Zotec Partners (third party billing company) and Florida Radiology Imaging/Radiologist Specialist of Florida (FRI/RSF) leadership. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
