SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for providing advice/support to create an inclusive environment for health system's individuals with disabilities and administer the health system's ADA/504 programs. Responsible for assisting human resources professionals and patient services professionals in PSH medical centers and medical practices with options for supporting individuals with disabilities, providing ongoing education on disability compliance obligations and accessibility opportunities, and identifying and implementing strategies to create an inclusive work and patient care environment for individuals with disabilities.
Bachelor's Degree with major coursework in social sciences, psychology, human resources or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in providing disability services.
Master's degree or higher preferred.
Experience in healthcare industry preferred.
Proficiency in a language other than English.
Experience with assistive technologies for persons with disabilities including knowledge/familiarity with Kurzweil, Dragon Naturally Speaking, Inspiration, Texhelp Read and Write, JAWS or Zoomtext.
