Provides leadership for a centralized team of business and data analysts responsible for maintaining the quality of operational data, processes and transactions and providing valuable information to operations management and executive teams. Manages analytic staff to ensure operational systems are operating efficiently and accurately. Fulfills scheduled and ad hoc data requests promptly and accurately and leads projects which have a focus on operations data.
WHAT IS EXPECTED (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Manages a centralized team to fulfill data requests of VP and Region Executive Team. This may include, but is not limited to utilizing data from the EPIC Universe, Midas, Kaufman Hall, Performance Manager, and other operational data systems.
Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual data reports for distribution; develops ad-hoc reports as necessary.
Evaluates current systems to improve operations and patient care.
Determines data needed to be collected and the appropriate data resources for specific operations data projects.
Formulates, implements, and enforces proper data collection policies and procedures.
Establishes data quality standards and ensures standards are met.
Ensures the quality and integrity of work requests though the use of production validation and audit strategies.
Troubleshoots data error issues.
Performs and documents procedures for data preparation including data cleaning, standardization and analysis.
Develops and implements evaluation methodology related to various data programs to determine completeness and adequacy of the data collection procedure.
Consults with staff on data coding problems and assists in developing means to correct the problems.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

Demonstrated high level of competency in utilizing data collection and analysis tools such as SQL, MicroStrategy, BusinessObjects, MS-Access, MS-Excel, Power BI proficiency a plus.
Knowledge and understanding of hospital and medical claims adjudication, a plus.
Working knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-9-CM and general medical and healthcare operations terminology, a plus.
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with all levels of personnel
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Experience in data analytics required
Previous training and documentation experience preferred
