You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
Collaborates with staff and peers to create optimal synergy and outcomes.
Assists with interviews and makes recommendations for new hires.
Participates in 30, 60, and 90-day evaluations of new staff, and assists in completion of meaningful annual evaluation of existing staff.
Creates the staffing schedule and posts in a timely manner
Performs timesheet corrections and approvals
Meets regularly with staff to obtain feedback and provide guidance to improve outcomes.
Complies with AHT corrective action process.
Participates in staff development by ensuring education, advancement of staff skills and certifications.
Serve as mentor and advisor to facilitate professional growth of staff.
Organizes and leads staff meetings when needed with Manager/Director.
Monitors and maintains acceptable compliance with budgets. Will monitor and manage productivity daily.
Collaborates with the Manager/Director to establish annual budget.
Oversees in inventory management process.
Ability to troubleshoot and subsequently place service calls for malfunctioning equipment.
Evaluates and updates standards of care with Manager/Director to improve processes and patient care.
Implements actions as appropriate based on benchmarks and data specific to the departments with the ability to monitor and evaluate progress.
Oversees patient flow process from date scheduled to discharge.
Demonstrates accountability by taking responsibility for decisions, actions and results.
Maintains regulatory agency preparedness.
Maintains and updates departmental policies and procedures with Manager/Director.
Compiles volume and outcomes reports, and other reports as requested.
Optimizes program development through physician relations and interfacility education and collaboration.
What You Will Need:
Possess a broad nursing knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently.
Working knowledge of budgets and healthcare finance and leadership capabilities.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
Experience in Cardiac Procedures
Prior experience providing leadership of care team or equivalent (ie. Team Leader)
Cardiac Telemetry or Critical Care Experience Preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Minimum of (3) to (5) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
National certification preferred
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current valid Florida State Board of Nursing Registered Professional Nurse license
Responsible for day to day employee supervision and development,
Oversees supply and equipment inventory and management
Responsible for daily staffing to productivity
Patient flow responsibilities including oversight of processes from Pre-Admission Testing to discharge

Pre-Surgery Holding Supervisor is responsible for organizing, staffing, supervisory, and evaluating the daily operation of Pre-Surgery Holding. The Supervisor is a preceptor and role model of employees, keeps the patient flow and workflow maintained, and contributes to the continued development and reputation of the department.
The Supervisor supervises and coordinates patient care delivery in Pre-Surgery Holding and is accountable for meeting organizational standards. The Supervisor supports the department by planning, directing, and evaluating all patient care service functions and activities for the Pre-Surgery Holding Department to ensure delivery of optimal available quality patient care and organizational effectiveness.
The Pre-Surgery Holding Supervisor coordinates staff educational needs and achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
