Overview: Arizona Oncology is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a full-time, team-oriented Medical Physicist to join our regional group of five radiation oncology centers located in Tucson, Arizona!
This position will primarily be based at the St Joseph's location on Carondelet Drive with the ability to travel to other Tucson locations as needed.

The St Joseph's center is a busy practice that provides a wide range of radiation therapy procedures including SRS and SBRT. Equipment in use at this location includes a Varian Novalis Tx with BrainLab's ExacTrac couch. Aria R&V, Eclipse and BrainLab TPS. The center has 1.5 Radiation Oncologist and 2 Radiation Therapists along with the nursing and clerical staff with dosimetry being performed remotely. The Arizona Oncology Tucson pod consists of 5 radiation oncology centers supported by a total of 5 Medical Physicists and 6 Radiation Oncologists. While each center is operationally independent, the physics staff collaborate on special projects and assist each other as needed. In addition to external beam therapy (3D, IMRT and VMAT), there are active SBRT programs at 5 centers, HDR program at the nearby center. As an integral part of Arizona Oncology, you will appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with other network physicists who are eager to share their expertise. Job responsibilities will include all aspects of radiation oncology physics, quality assurance, treatment planning, radiation safety and research. While this position is primarily at the St. Joseph's location, the successful candidate will also provide coverage and collaborate with staff at all Tucson locations.
The ideal candidate will have:
ABR board certification, or equivalent
Strong organizational and oral / written communication skills
Working knowledge of SRS and SBRT planning and treatment procedures preferred
Experience with Varian linear accelerators
Experience with Eclipse Treatment planning
Experience with Aria
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
MS or PhD degree in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP-accredited graduate program
Graduation from a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics residency program
ABR certified or eligible
RAM license eligibility
