Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Supervisor Pharmacists for the Pharmacy Department at Morristown Medical Center to work 2PM - 10PM, including every 4th weekend.
Supervises the dispensing of all medications, including robotic cart fill, cabinet based dispensing functions and ensuring clean room procedures are maintained.
Coordinates all pharmacy personnel scheduling to provide 24 hour service. This includes creative problem solving and rearrangement of positions during short staff situations.
Performs orientation of employees in all job functions and requirements listed on the orientation checklist. Completes documentation and 3 month evaluation. Continues to meet with employees to discuss issues and promote advancement.
Actively participates in annual evaluations and works with employees throughout the year handling performance and discipline issues.
Provides continual training and cross training to employees on new job functions and technology. Informs staff of new and/or upcoming programs and promotes participation.
Demonstrates knowledge of standards and regulations and maintains proper documentation. Assures readiness with all regulatory agencies and compliance with department, hospital, and AHS policies and procedures. Assists in the documentation, implementation, and monitoring of medication and patient safety initiatives.
Attends meetings and/or committees as a representative for pharmacy and pharmacy interests.
Functions as a staff Pharmacist, supports and actively participates in department and AHS initiatives. Assists with department financial management activities. Seeks opportunities to work independently on projects and takes on new responsibilities.
Central Lead - Maintains smooth operations and workflow in pharmacy and narcotic vault. Maintains proper inventory and security of controlled substances.
Supports the departmental goals as a team player by assisting staff members and being flexible in roles and responsibilities. Complies with departmental coverage guidelines. Actively supports the Atlantic Health strategic goals. Supports cross campus communications and sharing of best practices.
Bachelors of Pharmacy degree
Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Management experience preferred.
NJ BOP registration required
