Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Quality
Provide oversight of clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
Support peer review, privileging, and clinical governance processes
Lead and mentor physicians and interdisciplinary clinical teams
Regulatory Compliance, Risk & Clinical Governance
Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
Oversee risk management, quality assurance, and patient safety initiatives
Support Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) compliance and clinical risk mitigation
Operational Partnership & Integrated Care
Collaborate with nursing, behavioral health, dental, and pharmacy leaders to support integrated care delivery
Evaluate clinical operations, workforce needs, access strategies, and service delivery models
Support effective use of clinical technology and workflows to improve efficiency
Community & External Relationships
Represent Valley-Wide with healthcare partners, community organizations, and regulatory agencies
Serve as a clinical ambassador for the organization’s mission and commitment to underserved populations
Strengthen partnerships that support access, quality, and long-term community health outcomes
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required
Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain licensure
Board certification in a relevant medical specialty required
Substantial clinical and progressive leadership experience within healthcare environments
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels
Experience leading physicians and interdisciplinary clinical teams
Experience in community health, integrated care, rural healthcare, FQHC, or nonprofit healthcare settings preferred
