Position Summary
Atlantic Health's Atlantic Medical Group is seeking a Financial Analyst III to support revenue integrity across physician practice operations. This role is responsible for managing financial and revenue cycle systems, performing deposit reconciliations, reviewing revenue cycle metrics, identifying claim denial trends, and supporting billing and charge capture improvement efforts.
The Financial Analyst III serves as a key resource for operational and revenue cycle partners by analyzing variances, resolving workflow issues, maintaining billing-related tools and fee schedules, and supporting projects that improve revenue cycle performance. This position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, system comfort, and the ability to collaborate effectively with practice, billing, and finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary contact and liaison for CashPro, QuickBase, TOS, and Czar support across physician practices.
- Perform reconciliation of TOS collections with banking deposits.
- Review monthly revenue cycle metrics, research variances, and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
- Identify recurring claim denials, workflow issues, and revenue-related improvement opportunities.
- Recommend best practices to support stronger revenue cycle performance and operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and education related to billing processes and charge capture.
- Review payer contract variance and support resolution of related issues.
- Maintain physician billing fee schedules.
- Conduct special projects and studies to support revenue management and revenue integrity initiatives.
- Monitor applicable billing and regulatory updates to support compliant revenue cycle practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience using EPIC software.
- Knowledge of regulatory billing requirements.
- Strong math, financial, and analytical skills.
- Ability to research variances, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across systems, stakeholders, and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to support practice and revenue cycle partners.
